My Story

Thomas@transcend

I didn’t hit rock bottom in my life because I failed. I hit it because I succeeded on paper. I spent decades as a process engineer, using Six Sigma Methodology to solve problems, build and create robust systems, and fix what was broken. I checked the boxes by going to college, getting good grades, landing a job, and climbing the corporate ladder. But when all of the boxes were checked, something in me still felt hollow.

That emptiness didn’t start in my fifties. It started in childhood. I carried wounds from my childhood trauma I didn’t have words for, and I learned how to perform instead of heal. I became familiar with stress, pressure, and the kind of chaos that makes you feel alive when you don’t feel whole. I could create order in a plant, in a process, in a spreadsheet, yet I couldn’t solve the ache or the emptiness inside my own chest. Then one Sunday night in early March, I pulled into my garage and felt the weight of my life land on me at once. It was the moment I finally admitted the truth. I was living someone else’s life.

That night became my breaking point and my beginning. I stopped chasing goals that were built on approval, fear, and old programming. I started asking better questions. “What do I value?” “What do I believe?” “Who did God create me to be?” That’s where the lotus journey began for me, not in perfect conditions, but in the muddy waters of my life. And that’s why I wrote Transcend By Faith, to help you rise too.

My Passion

I created this website because I know what it feels like to look successful on the outside and still feel stuck and empty on the inside. I’ve lived the cycle of overthinking, self-doubt, and chasing goals that didn’t match who I really am. I also know what happens when you finally stop running from yourself. When you get quiet long enough to tell yourself the truth, this site is a doorway for those who are tired of just surviving and ready to live with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.

This book didn’t come from a cute idea or trying to mimic what others are doing. It came from necessity. I had to learn how to break free from beliefs that were never mine to begin with. I had to face the chaos I once tolerated, the distractions I hid behind, and the “monkey mind” that kept me bouncing from one shiny object to the next. I had to rebuild my mindset, my habits, and my faith from the ground up. The lotus doesn’t bloom because life is easy at the bottom of a marsh or swamp. It blooms because it refuses to stay buried. That’s what I want for every person who finds their way here to achieve.

My passion is simple. I want you to stop living a life that looks good on the outside but feels like it’s missing something within. I want you to overcome what keeps sabotaging you, renew your mind, and set goals that reflect the real you (the dreams you had as a kid), the one God created before the world started shaping you. This website and the book I wrote were made to walk with you through that transformation, step by step. Not with a bunch of hype, but by finding your truth, tools, and accountability, so you can stay rooted in faith, rise with purpose, and live your life designed by you.

My Goals For This Website

My goal for this website is to give you a clear starting point when you feel stuck, scattered, or tired of repeating the same patterns. I want this space to feel like a reset, a place where you can breathe again and get honest about what’s really going on inside you. Not surface-level motivation, but with clarity, and real direction. Tools and resources you can use right away to quiet the noise, rebuild your focus, and start moving forward with purpose.

My goal for this website and my book is to take you on a transformation, the same way a lotus rises from muddy water into the light. I want you to recognize the beliefs you inherited, the habits you tolerate, and the mindsets that keep you trapped in self-sabotage. Then I want you to replace them with truth, faith-based reflection, and using a practical roadmap that will help you follow through. The resources aren’t meant to inspire you for a day, there meant to change how you see yourself, how you set goals aligned with your core values, and how you live life to the fullest.

My biggest goal for both is this: that you stop chasing a version of life that doesn’t fit you. I want you to heal what needs healing, strengthen your boundaries, renew your mind, and set goals that match your values and your calling. I want you to feel aligned inside, not just accomplished on the outside. When you leave this website and finish my book, you should gain a sense of clarity, feel aligned, and more certain about who you are and where you’re going. Again it is being rooted in faith, rising with purpose, and finally living life by your design and not someone else’s plan for you.
